TRIMONT – The wrestling season is over, and the Big South All-Conference selections and the team awards have been announced.

The Martin County Area Red Bulls finished with a dual record of 13-7 on the season. The Red Bulls also secured the victory at the Blue Earth Dick Maher Invite. The team also locked in the Academic All-State honors for the 12th consecutive season, with the average GPA amongst the team being 3.5 or higher.

In addition to a solid performance on the mat and in the classroom, the Red Bulls sent three grapplers to the Ninth Grade and Under State Tournament. The three participants were Boe Kolbe, Kaedin Lange, and Aaron Becker. Becker claimed the state title in the outing.

The Varsity Individual State Tournament hosted three wrestlers from the Red Bulls 133-pound Pierce Rohman, 145-pound Torrey Paplow, and 172-pound Maddex Faber. Rohman found the podium, claiming third place in the tournament.

Season awards went to DJ Miller for most pins with 21. Torrey Paplow took home the Takedown Award with 210 in total, while Most Improved went to Maddex Faber. Torrey Paplow claimed the Hardest Worker Award, while Pierce Rohman took home the award for Most Valuable Wrestler and the Joe Weber Spirit Award went to Ty Kolbe.
