2024-2025 All-Sentinel Girls Basketball
FAIRMONT – The girls basketball season has wrapped up and the time has come to announce the 2024-2025 All-Sentinel Girls Basketball Team.
Fairmont’s Brylee Miller makes this year’s squad with 644 points, 223 rebounds, 132 assists, 122 steals, and 13 blocks to take a spot on the roster. Miller had a solid season in which she broke through the 1,000-point threshold and broke Fairmont’s all-time scoring record for girls basketball. Miller averaged 22.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 4.2 steals per game.
Joining Miller is teammate Ellie Ortega, who scored 281 points and had 173 rebounds, 42 assists, 50 steals, and five blocks to claim her place on the squad. Ortega’s rebounding and passing were solid all season for the Cardinals. Ortega averaged 9.7 points, 6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.72 per game.
Joining Miller and Ortega and hailing from the Granada-Huntley East Chain/Truman/Martin Luther Jaguars is Keira Benck with an average of 15 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.1 steals, 2.8 assists per game while draining a total of 54 3-pointers this season. On top of her work beyond the arc, Benck’s court vision was a key factor in her selection to the team.
Fellow Jaguar Londyn Bowers averaged 15 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.8 steals, two assists per game while adding 139 deflections this season to claim a spot. Bowers’ disruptive presence was significant to the Jaguars’ success this season.
Martin County West’s Emily Anderson claims a spot on the squad courtesy of her multifaceted attack. Anderson ended the season with 587 points, 275 rebounds, 92 assists, 123 deflections, and 68 steals. Averaging 19.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, three assists, and 2.26 steals per game.
Joining Anderson from MCW is Maddie Carlson with 190 points, 212 rebounds, 62 assists, 74 deflections, and 44 steals. Carlson ended the season averaging 6.3 points, seven rebounds, two assists, 4.1 deflections, and 1.5 steals per game.
