FAIRMONT 66, LUVERNE 41
FAIRMONT – The Fairmont Cardinals cruised past Luverne Tuesday night securing the 66-41 victory in a Big South Conference girls basketball game.
Leading Fairmont was Makayla Lowry with 14 points, while Brylee Miller had 12 points. Bria Williamson had 11 points, while Kennedy Becker had 10 points. Mackenzie Lowry had 9 points on the night.
Now 18-7 overall and 13-6 in conference play Luverne again at home on Friday, this time in a 7 p.m. Section 3AA tournament game. Fairmont is the No. 2 seed in the south, while Luverne is the No. 7 seed.

LUVERNE 59, FAIRMONT 42
LUVERNE- The Fairmont Cardinals fell to Luverne Tuesday night 59-42 in a Big South Conference boys basketball game.
Leading Fairmont was Logan Junkermeier with 16 points and nine rebounds, while Oliver Tordsen had 6 points and three rebounds. Joseph Hackett had 5 points and three rebounds, while Joe Long had 4 points and a rebound.
Now sitting at 14-9 overall and 10-8 in conference play the Cardinals head to Belle Plaine for a 7:15 p.m. game on Thursday.
BEA 81, WORTHINGTON 72
WORTHINGTON – The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers defeated Worthington Tuesday night 81-72 in a Big South Conference boys basketball game.
Leading the Buccaneers was Gage Barker with 29 points and three assists, while Will Bromeland had 17 points and six rebounds. Branson Hauskins had 10 points and three rebounds, while Caden Juba had 10 points and three rebounds.
The Buccaneers are now 11-13 overall and 6-11 in conference play. Blue Earth will host Waterville-Elysian-Morristown for a 7:30 p.m. game on Tuesday.
