WORTHINGTON – The Fairmont Cardinals (10-3) flew by Worthington 78-36 Friday night in a Big South Conference girls basketball game.
Leading the Cardinals was Brylee Miller with 19 points and nine steals, while Makayla Lowry had 15 points. Bria Williamson had 15 points and Gwyneth Schultz had nine rebounds.
Fairmont heads to Marshall for a 1 p.m. conference game Saturday.

ALDEN – The Martin County West Mavericks (14-3) secured their 14th victory of the season over Alden Conger/Glenville-Emmons 49-37 Friday night in a Tomahawk Valley Conference, Valley Division girls basketball game.
Leading the Mavericks was Emily Anderson with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Addy Wohlhuter had 12 points. Emily Schettler had 6 points and five rebounds, while Courtney Anderson had 5 points and three rebounds.
The Mavericks host Nicollet at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Leading the Warriors was Maisey Bierstedt with 20 points and five rebounds, while Ainsley Ulrich had 20 points and three rebounds. Shallie Walders had 10 points and five rebounds, while Avery Walstead had 5 points.
