BLUE EARTH – The Fairmont/Martin County West Red Bulls defeated Blue Earth Area 53-24 and fell to Saint James/Madelia 38-35 in a Big South Conference triangular Thursday night.
Pierce Rohman (133 lbs) secured two victories, one via forfeit and the other by pinning Judson Brekke. Brock Staufer (139 lbs) won one of his matches the first by pinning Colin Alfson, while Torrey Paplow (145 lbs) won both of his matches by pin, first over Layden Bassett and by pinning Damien Ramirez. Kaedin Lange (152 lbs) pinned Colton Tolzmann and Maddex Faber (160 lbs) pinned his two opponents first Will Weerts then Jacob Wallace. Chase Birr (172, 189 lbs) won both of his matches first by pinning Kadyn Flowers and by Technical fall over Devin Ramirez, while Ty Kolbe (172 lbs) won his first match via forfeit and the second by pinning Fabian Herrera. Ivan Martin (215 lbs) defeated Jacob Gambell by technical fall and David Miller won both of his matches by pinning Chase Gambell and Jerimiah Garza.
The Red Bulls head to Waseca at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

GARNER, IA – The North Union Warriors (7-5) took the win over Garner Hayfield Ventura 55-39 in a Top of Iowa Conference girls basketball game Saturday night.
Leading the Warriors was Ainsley Ulrich with 32 points and seven rebounds, while Maisey Bierstedt had 17 points and seven rebounds. Ava Steinberger had 13 rebounds, while Hannah Neilsen had five rebounds.

GRAETTINGER, IA – The North Union Warriors (8-5) defeated the Graettinger/Terril Titans 55-37 in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday night.
Leading the Warriors was Ainsley Ulrich with 21 points and three rebounds, while Maisey Bierstedt had 16 points and nine rebounds. Shallie Walders had 16 points and three rebounds.

Leading the Jaguars was Keira Benck with 15 points, three rebounds and three steals, while Addi Nowicki had 14 points and five rebounds. Londyn Bowers had 7 points and three rebounds, while Madisen Lewis had 6 points and four rebounds and Harley Geistfeld also had 6 points and three rebounds.

TRIMONT – The Martin County West Mavericks (13-3) secured the victory over Cleveland 50-31 in a Tomahawk Valley Conference, Valley Division girls basketball game Tuesday night.
Leading the Mavericks was Emily Anderson with 16 points and six rebounds, while Courtney Anderson had 7 points. Ivy Olson had 6 points and two rebounds, while Avery Sanders had 6 points and six rebounds.

JACKSON – The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers fell to Jackson County Central 70-52 Thursday night in a Big South Conference basketball game.

WINDOM – The Fairmont Cardinals (9-4) boys basketball team cruised to victory over Windom 95-75 in a Big South Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night.
Leading the Cardinals was Hadan Toomer with 20 points, while Oliver Tordsen had 19 points. Joe Long and Joseph Hackett each had 15 points, while Harmon Schrunk had 12 points and Nolan Schultze had 11 points.
