MCW 71, NICOLLET 47

NICOLLET – The Martin County West Mavericks (8-1) defeated Nicollet (5-3) 71-47 Friday night in a Tomahawk Valley Conference, Valley Division girls basketball game.

Leading the Mavericks was Emily Anderson with 31 points and 15 rebounds, while Maddie Carlson had 16 points and eight rebounds. Emily Schettler added 11 points and two rebounds, while Courtney Anderson had 7 points and two rebounds.

The Mavericks’ next game is Friday at a tournament in Windom.

BISHOP GARRIGAN 67, NORTH UNION 33

ALGONA, IA – The North Union Warriors (3-5) fell to Bishop Garrigan in a Top of Iowa Conference girls basketball game Thursday night 67-33.

Leading the Warriors was Shallie Walders with 11 points and two rebounds, while Alexis Cummins had 8 points and three rebounds. Maisey Beirstedt added 6 points and five rebounds, while Ainsley Ulrich had 6 points and three rebounds.

BEA 67, TCU 30

MONTGOMERY – The Blue Earth Area Buccaneers (3-2) defeated Tri-City United (0-6) 67-30 in a Big South Conference boys basketball game Friday night.

Leading the Buccaneers was Will Bromeland with 25 points, while Gage Barker had 12 points and four assists. Branson Hauskins had 11 points and four assists, while Jacob Grandgenett had 5 points and five assists and Sully Dahlberg added 5 points.

Blue Earth will host multiple schools Friday at 6:30 p.m..

ALGONA, IA – The North Union Warriors (1-6) lost to Bishop Garrigan 56-39 in a Top of Iowa Conference boys basketball game Thursday night.

Leading the Warriors was Khael Jones, who scored 15 points and six rebounds, while Greyson Colegrove added 13 points and three rebounds.
