Vincent Paul Rolling, son of Charles and Joan (Coleman) Rolling, was born on May 21, 1950, and was called home by our Heavenly Father at the age of 74 on April 2, 2025, at the HCA Hospital in Ocala, Fla.

Vince was the first of nine siblings born to Chuck and Joan and was the first-born grandchild to Peter N. and Mary E. Rolling. He was baptized at Sacred Heart in Ledyard, Iowa. Vince graduated from Armstrong High School in 1968 and was an active FFA member throughout his school years. Following graduation, he attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa, and later transferred to Iowa State University (ISU) in Ames, Iowa, where he graduated with a degree in agriculture.

On July 28, 1973, Vince married his beloved wife Beth (Mary Elizabeth) Phelps at the First United Methodist Church in Swea City, Iowa. He and Beth made their home north of Swea City, where Vince started farming with his father-in-law, Bill Phelps. They were blessed with three wonderful boys, Bradley C., Kyle W., and Lewis F.

Vince was very active in the farming industry. As a child, he learned the basics of farming and grew to understand the fruits of his labor. As an adult, he would raise cattle, turkeys and grow field crops such as corn and beans. His labor didn’t end solely on the farm, Vince was also active on the Swea City Co-op Elevator Board, Kossuth County Cattleman’s Association, Swea City Betterment Club, SCIL (Swea City Improvement League), involved in committees for the Methodist Church of Swea City and he was on the Board Of Directors for Bank Plus of Estherville, Iowa for 24 years.

Vince was also a dedicated Iowa State Cyclone fan, so much so that he and Beth held season tickets for its football team. He enjoyed fishing trips with his brothers and cousins, playing slow-pitch softball and cards, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Over the past eleven years, Vince and Beth have resided in the Villages, Fla., and loved spending time in Mexico as well.

Vince is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beth Rolling, their sons: Brad (Leah) Rolling, Kyle (Casey) Rolling, Lewis (Karlie) Rolling, his 11 grandchildren: Aubri, Caiden, Emma, Jacob, Adaline, Myles, Carson, Micah, Olivia, Laiker and Elliana, his siblings: Virginia (Terry) Hauge, Patricia (Phil) Berte, Carol (Rudy) Bakeberg, Thomas Rolling, Larry Rolling, Patrick Rolling, Michael Rolling, and William (Bill) (Pam) Rolling.
