Cindy L. Hitchcock
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — A Celebration of Life Visitation for Cindy L. Hitchcock, 65, of Sioux Falls, S.D., formerly of Fairmont, Minn., will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 11, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Cindy passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Avera Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, S.D. Memorials are preferred to PanCAN for pancreatic research. Lakeview Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Cindy Lou (Hoffrogge) Hitchcock was born on Feb. 7, 1960, to Walter and Lois (Brinkman) Hoffrogge in New Ulm, Minn. She graduated from New Ulm High School and then attended Canby Area Vocational and Technical Institute.
Cindy was united in marriage to Michael Hitchcock on April 7, 1984, in New Ulm, Minn. This marriage was blessed with two children, Dave and Mary. Cindy and Mike made their home in Fairmont and Cindy worked as a dental assistant at Carlson Dental Office for forty-four years when she retired on Aug. 31, 2023. Cindy and Mike moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., in Sept. of 2023.
Cindy enjoyed biking, reading, puzzles, sightseeing and watching Minnesota sports.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Mike Hitchcock; son, Dave (Nicole) Hitchcock; daughter, Mary Hitchcock; sister, Deb Lewis; niece, Jenny (Justin) Pahl; and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lois Hoffrogge.
