Betty Lou (Bowers) Lewis was born on Nov. 6, 1929, to Sidney and Mary (Kerbel) Bowers in Spencer, Nebr. She graduated from Truman High School.

Betty was united in marriage to Connie M. Lewis on Nov. 17, 1948. They made their home on a farm north of Granada, Minn. Connie and Betty met on a dance floor and enjoyed dancing into their 80’s. They also loved to play cards with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of seventy-six years, Connie Lewis; her children and spouses, Vicki (Ray) Davison, Gin (Ernie) Salic, Dave (Mary) Lewis, Dixie (John) Benck, Kent (Jodee) Lewis and Kristi Olsen; eighteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis (Delvin) Meyer; sister-in-law, Donna Bowers; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sid and Mary Bowers; daughter, Cynthia Lewis; siblings and spouses, Ray (Evelyn) Bowers, Harold Bowers, Lorraine (Lloyd) Jansick; and step-mother, Muriel Bowers.
