Sharon L. Reiter
FAIRMONT — Funeral Service for Sharon L. Reiter, 88, of Fairmont, Minn., will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 24, at the church. Lakeview Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Sharon L. Rhoda was born Feb. 6, 1937, on a farm east of Elmore, Minn. to John and Alma (Loge) Rhoda. She was baptized in 1937, confirmed in 1951, and married in 1957, all at the Shiloh Lutheran Church in Elmore, Minn. Sharon attended rural country school near Elmore for four years, then attended Elmore Public School and graduated from Elmore High School in 1954.
On Oct. 19, 1957, Sharon married Arlan Reiter from Truman, Minn. They lived most of their married life in Fairmont, Minn. Sharon was in the banking business for 28 years.
Sharon is survived by two daughters, Stephanie (Douglas) Sparks of Albia, Iowa and Pamela (Michael) Johnson of Atwater, Calif.; four grandchildren, Brittany (Cody) Flattery of Carslie, Iowa, Mitchel Sparks of Albia, Iowa, Brooke (Wyatt) McCarty of Albia, Iowa and Nicholas Johnson of Atwater, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Cora and Leo Flattery and Chet McCarty. Also survived by three sisters, Barbara (Roger) Weise of Spring Valley, Minn., Armon (Vince) Ross of Eden Prairie, Minn., Susan (Dean) Michaelson of Bradenton, Fla., and one brother, Bruce (Judy) Rhoda of Hutchinson, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arlan, and an infant brother.
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul Lutheran Church or School in Fairmont and Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont.
