Theresa A. Tabatt
ELLENDALE — A Memorial Service for Theresa A. Tabatt, 60, of Ellendale, Minn., formerly of Lewisville, Minn., will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Willow Creek in rural Vernon Center, Minn. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Theresa passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Lakeview Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Theresa Ann Tabatt was born on Sept. 18, 1964, to Dale and Sandra (Solberg) Tabatt in New Ulm, Minn. She was baptized and later confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Willow Creek in rural Vernon Center, Minn. Theresa attended grade school at St. John’s Lutheran Parochial School and then graduated from Truman High School in 1983. After high school, Theresa attended Rasmussen College in Mankato, Minn.
Theresa lived in several different towns throughout her life, but most recently was living in Ellendale, Minn. While living in St. James, Minn., Theresa worked for the City of St. James.
Theresa loved reading, making jewelry, and playing board games. Ever since Theresa was a little girl one of her favorite games was the Bride Game and all throughout the years, she would play the game with family members and her future son-in-law before they were accepted into the family. Theresa was very close to her pets, especially her love for her cats. She was the most famous portraying Lena from Ole and Lena. One of her favorite things to do was fishing and planning their annual family trip up north. She spent many hours planning and making sure it was a fun time for all.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, RoseAnn Weihe of Fairmont; grandchildren, Jaxson and Jemma Weihe; parents, Dale and Sandra Tabatt of Lewisville; sisters, Tammy (Richard) Schaefer of Vernon Center and Terilyn Harbitz of St. James; nieces and nephews, Cody (Molly) Schaefer, Cali (Jacob) Finnegan, Allison (Joe) Karau, Andrew (Rose) Karau and Dylan (Samantha) Harbitz; and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeffrey Weihe; brother-in-law, Wayne Harbitz; and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and other extended family.
