Ronald A. Garlisch

TRIMONT — A Funeral Service for Ronald Garlisch, 73, of rural Trimont, Minn. will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont with burial in Cedar Lutheran Cemetery in rural Trimont, Minn.

Ronald was called to his eternal rest on Tuesday morning, Dec. 31, 2024, at his home in rural Trimont, Minn. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Kramer Family Funeral Home of Welcome, Sherburn, and Trimont, Minn., is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ronald August Garlisch was born on Aug. 9, 1951, to Walter and Selma (Koehler) Garlisch at the Triumph-Monterey Community Hospital. He was baptized on Sept. 9, 1951, and later confirmed on April 25, 1965, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. Ron attended Country School #1057 and Country School #110 both in Cedar Township until attending Trimont High School and later graduating with the class of 1969. He then farmed with his family in Cedar Township and was employed by Ralph Carlson Painting. On May 21, 1971, he served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge on May 24, 1973. Ron returned to the farm in Cedar Township and continued to work hard around the farm until the time of his passing. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont and served on the board of Cedar Lutheran Cemetery.

Ronald is survived by his siblings, brothers, Everett Garlisch and Merlin Garlisch both of rural Trimont, Minn.; sister, Annette Garlisch of Fairmont, Minn.; cousins and other relatives.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Selma Garlisch; brother, Marlin Garlisch; grandparents, Henry and Mamie Garlisch, William Koehler, Anna Koehler, and step-grandma, Minnie Koehler; and other relatives.
