On Aug. 17, 1963, Jack was united in marriage to Rosalie Ruth Wolter in Fairmont, Minn. Together the couple made their home in Fairmont and moved to East Chain in 1975 and later Welcome, Minn., in 1978. To this union, four children were born, Tim, Tami, Teresa, and Trent.

Jack had a great sense of pride in his community and poured his heart and soul into making it better. He was a faithful member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and committed over 50 years to the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a 4th Degree Knight and as building manager of the Knights of Columbus Hall. In his spare time, he could be found outdoors, fishing, gardening, and doing yard work. He enjoyed camping trips, working at Bingo, helping Rosalie make jean quilts, baking, and cooking.
