William ‘Bill’ LaFavor
WELCOME — A celebration of life service for William “Bill” LaFavor, 77, of Welcome, Minn., will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome, with military honors by Welcome American Legion Post 553 at the church. Private family burial will be in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Minn.
LaFavor was called to his eternal rest Saturday afternoon, Aug. 31, 2024, at his home in Welcome, Minn. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the church in Welcome. Arrangements for the family by Kramer Family Funeral Home of Sherburn, Trimont and Welcome.
William George LaFavor was born May 19, 1947, to George and Kay (Carey) LaFavor in San Francisco, Calif. He joined the U.S. Army in December of 1966. He served on active duty until 1977. After that he joined the National Guard until his retirement in 1989.
Survivors include: his children, Laura Justice of Fairmont, Minn. and William J. LaFavor of Welcome, Minn.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Keith LaFavor of Garden City, Minn. and Roger LaFavor of Dothan, Ala.; sister, Patricia Rambo of Alden, Minn.; sister-in-law, Marilee Daugherty of Elk River, Minn.; brother-in-law, Ronald Daugherty of Fairmont, Minn.; other relatives and friends.
