Lawrence Leslie Drager

WOOSTER, Ohio — Lawrence “Larry” Leslie Drager, 91, of Wooster, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at his home. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St. in Wooster, with Rev. Shari Ayers officiating. Inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio. McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. in Wooster is assisting the family.

He was born June 12, 1929, in Sherburn, Minn., the son of Leslie K. and Esther (Hoelmer) Drager. He married Patricia Bird on Dec. 6, 1959. She survives. He retired as a quality inspector from Liquid Carbonic Inc. in Smithville. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he served as a head usher. He was a life member of the VFW and had been active in the Isaac Walton League. Larry always enjoyed staying busy and helping others. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952. Surviving in addition to his wife, Patricia, is son, Daniel Leslie (Deborah) Drager of Wooster; and grandchildren, Maxwell, Lucas and Leslie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Daril and Edward Drager. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church.
