Leo Francis Rossi was born Dec. 8, 1939, in Boston Mass., to Louis and Anna Rossi. He was raised by Ruth and John Walsh and had three stepbrothers, Jack, James, and Paul Walsh. At the age of 18, Leo left for the military and served in the U.S. Army division. Unfortunately after Leo left for the military he lost all contact with his adopted family. After discharge from the military, he moved to Florida where he resided for two years and then to Louisiana for another two years. During this time he worked as a machinist. Leo moved to Minnesota and lived with his long-term girlfriend, Marilyn Rich until her death. After Marilyn’s death, he moved to his own apartment in St. James until 2012 when he moved to Country Neighbors/The Beacon Assisted Living in Lake Crystal. Leo resided there for approximately 5 years until his move to his present home, Cottagewood Senior Community of Mankato in 2017. Leo passed away March 1, 2021, at his home. Leo enjoyed playing cards, socializing with his friends, bowling, taking scenic drives, singing hymns, and dining out. Blessed be Leo’s memory as it will be treasured by many.
