Fairmont Speech claims bronze at State
FAIRMONT — The Fairmont High School Speech Team competed at the MSHSL Class A State Speech competition on Saturday, April 25, in Shakopee.
Over 90 teams and over 330 participants were in attendance. Fairmont Speech took third place as a team and earned a plaque. This is their second year in a row earning this team placement. Melrose Area took second place, and Mounds Park Academy took first place.
Seniors Grace Simpson and Oliver Thedens are the Champions in Duo Interpretation.
Senior Alayna Haefner takes second place in Original Oratory.
Senior Dominick Lund-May takes fourth place in Extemporaneous Speaking.
Senior Zoey Tasseff takes eighth place in Creative Expression.
Junior Cooper Gudahl takes fourth place in Prose.
Junior Belinda Lutterman takes fifth place in Original Oratory.
Sophomore Leon Yang takes second place in Humorous Interpretation.
