‘Swing for a Cure’ May 13
TRUMAN — As we celebrate Holy Week, the following are the church schedules:
Church of Christ will have a Maundy Thursday Service with Communion at 7 p.m. A joint Easter sunrise service will be at 7 a.m. with the Christian Church of Fairmont. An Easter service will be held in Truman at 10:30 a.m.
St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran church will have Maundy Thursday services with Holy Communion at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. The Good Friday service will be at 10 a.m. Their Easter Sunrise service with Holy Communion will be at 7:30 a.m., with an Easter breakfast at 8:30 a.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church will have a Maundy Thursday Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall at 10 a.m. with rolls and coffee afterwards. Good Friday worship service with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m. Their Easter Worship Service with Holy Communion is at 10 a.m.
Easter is a day for remembering all the incredible blessings we enjoy because JESUS IS RISEN.
There will be no school for Truman High School students on Friday. There will be no school on Monday because of Professional Day.
School Conferences will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 22 and 24.
The Easter Bunny is coming to the Lewisville Old City Hall. Pictures with the bunny are from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Prizes will be given out at 10:30 a.m. Every child aged zero to 12 years old will receive a prize. Bring your cameras. Sponsored by the Lewisville Commercial Club.
The Truman Sorority will again sponsor its annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. at Graf Park. All kids ages two to Grade 5 are welcome to come and pick up candy and over 4,000 eggs. Twelve baskets will be awarded, and everyone will pick out a prize. Come and see the Easter bunnies too. Bring your own container.
The Strike Out Cancer, “Swing for a Cure” is May 13, 2025, at the Truman Baseball Field and Rosburg Softball Diamond. Jaguar baseball and softball have been hosting this annually since 2018. Any item or certificate donations are appreciated. Donations can be dropped off at Truman Schools or Elizabeth Chevrolet during business hours or picked up by a committee member. The Jaguars (Truman/GHEC/ML) vs Blackhawks (Madelia). Games start at approximately 4:30 p.m. Delicious food and activities will be available throughout. Proceeds are donated to Relay for Life. The Lions Burger Bash for Truman Pool will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Truman Community Building. Enjoy a burger, condiments, beans, chips, and a beverage. Eat in or get to-go. Free-will donations with profits will be donated to the Truman Pool and donations from Lions.
