Community Day Auction coming up

CEYLON — An Adult Prom will be at 8 p.m. tonight at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. A Fish Fry will be at 5 p.m. on April 4. Served until gone. Canaan James will appear at 8 p.m. on April 5.

The Tuesday Coffee Hours will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1 (and each Tuesday through April), at the Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont. Welcome will have May coffee hours. Coffee Lovers group in Ceylon meets from 8:30 to 10 a.m. each Thursday at the banquet/back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. Area residents are welcome to join friends and neighbors at these coffee hours.

The Sherburn Theatre will show “The Unbreakable Boy” again this weekend, at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday. Next weekend, the Martin County West Spring play, “This Murder Was Staged” will be featured at the theatre.

St. Peter ladies group WELCA will meet at 1:30 p.m. on April 2. All the members are encouraged to attend this first meeting of spring. The Circle of Faith Parishes will have services at 9 a.m. in April at Waverly Lutheran Church, north of Welcome, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Ceylon. The Circle of Faith mid-week Lenten services continue at 6 p.m. for supper and services at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome.

The Ceylon Community Day Auction and Rummage Sales will be on April 12. To get the rummage sale on the map, please contact Linda Bakke by April 7 at obakke@frontiernet.net or (507) 632-4509. The Vendor Fair, sponsored by Helping Hands of Ceylon, is cancelled due to a lack of participation.

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will have 5:30 p.m. Saturday night services next weekend on April 5. They invite area residents for Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays.

The American Red Cross blood drives will be on April 9 at Truman High School, April 14 at the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, April 14 at Martin Luther High School in Northrop, and April 18 at the Legion Hall in Fairmont.
