The Ceylon Community Day Auction will be held on April 12. There are also Rummage Sales that day. To get your rummage sale on the map, please contact Linda Bakke at (507) 632-4509 or obakke@frontiernet.net by April 7.
That day, the non-profit group Helping Hands of Ceylon will have a vendor/flea market space between the buildings on the north side of Main Street (across the street from Lake Belt Bar and Grill) with a 12 x 12 space for your table/tent. Please contact Barb Kronback or Chris Griffin on Facebook to get further information.
The American Red Cross blood drives will continue on April 9 at Truman High School, April 14 at two sites- Regional Worship Center in Sherburn and Martin Luther High School in Northrop, and April 18 at the Legion Hall in Fairmont. To make an appointment or find blood drive locations and times in your area, call (800) RED-CROSS (800-733-2767), go online to www.redcrossblood.org, or text ‘BLOODAPP’ to ‘90999’. The dates of blood drives in Trimont and Sherburn are the needed 56 days apart, so donations of blood can be done each time in either Sherburn and/or Trimont.
The first day of Spring was better than the day before. March 20 was the first day of Spring. I saw a fat robin and the snow that came was melting. Easter is April 20, so maybe Mother Nature will get her act together by then. Think Spring.
Just a reminder that there will be a Ceylon High School All-Class Reunion on June 28. Social Hour and a catered dinner are planned for the banquet room and on the street west of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. Dinner reservations should be sent with a check for $25 a person to Julie Laue at 643 150th Avenue., Fairmont, Minn. 56031 by May 1. Sounds like fun for the “former Ceylon Huskies”.
