Faribault Co. continues replacing windows
BLUE EARTH– The task of replacing the windows in the Faribault County Courthouse is winding its way towards completion.
That was the news that Buildings and Grounds supervisor Saxton Warmka had for the Faribault County Commissioners when they met for their second meeting of the month on Tuesday.
“We started out with 206 windows to replace and the task is 82 percent completed,” Warmka stated. “We also have five other windows that will be reframed.”
Warmka shared the workers were currently waiting for some radius-cut windows to be delivered.
“What about the windows in the tower?” chairman Greg Young asked. “Are they going to be replaced.”
“Yes, they are,” Warmka replied. “There is a total of 32 windows in the tower.”
Warmka commented that things have been going well.
“When the crew is finished, they will be working to repair the sod that got damaged from their machines,” Warmka added. “It’s pretty hard not to damage the grass with as warm as it has been.”
During the Drainage meeting, the 2025 crop damage rates were set at $1,000 per acre for corn and $675 per acre for soybeans.
