B.E. Council hears of go-kart track success

BLUE EARTH– Bret Osborn from the Golden Spike Speedway shared the race schedule for the 2025 season and news of an unexpected endorsement at the Blue Earth City Council meeting on Monday.

Osborn shared a TikTok video from the account @karting.collective with the council and the public attendees at the meeting, showcasing the Golden Spike Speedway and reporting on its history as a go-kart raceway for the region. At the time of writing this article, the video has already garnered 4,968 views and 289 likes online.

“We had no idea that this person was going to come out to our track and promote us on such a public scale,” Osborn admitted. “We don’t know who they are or why they chose our track, but it’s a very welcome surprise for all of us. We were the ninth go-kart track across the United States to be featured by this account.”

Osborn also presented the council with the race schedule for the 2025 season, along with the different competition classes and a race day prep schedule.

“2025 is going to be another busy year for the Golden Spike Speedway – our schedule is completely full from April to October,” Osborn said. “We’re hosting the AJC Mid America Nationals again this year, and we will also be hosting a race during Giant Days in July, which we anticipate to be a big event.”

The first race of the 2025 season at Golden Spike Speedway, Frost Buster, is scheduled for April 26.
