Boy Scouts Fish Fry this Friday

SHERBURN — CREST’s Lunch and Learn program will be at 11 a.m. today at First Lutheran Church in Trimont followed by a light lunch. These educational and interesting programs are free to senior citizens of Martin County. CREST appreciates a free-will donation for the lunch.

Hamburger Night from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the Sherburn Legion. A burger, salad and baked beans are on the menu for only $10. Sounds yummy.

The Theatre in Sherburn will show “The Unbreakable Boy” this weekend. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sundays. A concession stand is available. Tickets are $5.

The Boy Scouts will host a Fish Fry from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 21 at the Sherburn Legion Hall.

The Mayo Mobile Clinic will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, March 24, and Wednesday, March 26 in Sherburn near the City Hall. Call the appointment number at (507) 238-8500 and mention Sherburn Clinic.

Temperance Lake Ridge will have a Memory Cafe meeting for family and caregivers of patients with any dementia at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 24. This is a free support group.

Condolences to the families of Larry “Duke” Clemmensen of Trimont and Todd Nowak of Sherburn who passed away recently. They will be missed by family and friends.

Congratulations to Carol Brandt who will celebrate her 85th birthday from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont. We wish you many more birthdays.

Martin County West will have an early release day on March 28. The School Board meeting is 6 p.m. on April 14. The Kindergarten Round-Up is from 5 to 7 p.m. on March 27. The Preschool Open House is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. tomorrow, March 20. Both are held at Sherburn Elementary School.

St. John’s Lutheran Church Friendship Club will meet at 11 a.m. on April 7 at The Still Bar and Grill in Dunnell for lunch and fellowship. Area residents are welcome to join them. The Friendship Club is sponsoring a bus trip to Duluth in October. Any area resident is welcome to join them.
