SHERBURN — The St. John’s Lutheran Church women’s group (LWML) will meet at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 12. Members are encouraged to attend.

The Sherburn Theatre will show “Paddington in Peru” this weekend and next weekend. Show times are 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 4 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets are $5. Concessions will be available.

The Ruby’s Pantry grocery distribution will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the parking lot of the Regional Worship Center in Sherburn, just south of Interstate 90. There are no residential or income guidelines. A partial list is on Facebook prior to the date. Twenty-five dollars gets a trunk full of groceries loaded for you.

President’s Day is on Feb. 17. There will be no school at Martin County West Schools and mail. Check businesses for availability.

CREST’s Lunch-n-Learn program will be at 11 a.m. on Feb. 19 at the First Lutheran Church in Trimont. The 11 a.m. program is a mystery. A lunch will follow. These events are free to senior citizens in Martin County. CREST appreciates a free-will donation for the lunch.

The MCW FFA will have an AgOlympics on Feb. 18. The Character Strong focus this month is honesty in the Elementary Schools. Sectionals and tournaments are coming up for the athletes. There will be a Wrestling Sectional event at 6 p.m. on Feb. 13 at MCW. The gymnastics team will compete with Mankato East at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Mankato East. The boy’s hockey team will play at 7 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Fairmont Arena. The girl’s basketball team will compete with Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s at 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 13 at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s High School. The boy’s hockey team will compete with Tartan Senior at 7 p.m. on Feb. 14 at Tartan Arena. The boy’s basketball team will compete with Cedar Mountain at 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 14 at Cedar Mountain High School. The Wrestling Sectional Tournament will be at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Marshall High School. The boy’s basketball team will compete with New Ulm Cathedral at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 at MCW. The girl’s basketball team will compete in a Tomahawk Conference game at 7 p.m. on Feb. 18 at Tomahawk School. The boy’s hockey team will compete in a Sectional Playoff with High Seed at 7 p.m., location to be determined. Good luck, Mavericks.
