Free gardening at Truman Schools
TRUMAN — The Truman Lions Club Burger Bash will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Truman Community Building. Enjoy a burger, beans, condiments, chips and a beverage. To-go is available.
Lewisville Legion Auxiliary will serve a chicken dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19.
Truman High School will not have school on Monday because of Professional Day.
Due to Monday, Jan. 20 being Martin Lutheran King Jr. Day, The Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21. If you have any ideas, concerns, or questions, please contact Truman City Hall at (507) 776-7951 to be put on the agenda.
Free Park Day at all state parks and recreation areas is Monday, Jan. 20. They are waiving vehicle permit fees at all 73 locations.
Truman Public School conferences will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Thursday, Jan. 23.
Truman School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 21, in the board conference room.
Love to garden but have no space? There are 25 ft 3 ft rectangular raised gardens and a 13 ft x 2 ft raised garden behind the Truman Public School for use at no charge. To reserve your garden, contact Pat Jones at (507) 236-4433.
