Commercial Club to meet Wednesday
TRUMAN — January is National Mentoring Month. It is celebrated each January, dedicated to raising awareness about the power and impact of mentoring. This is a time to honor the contributions of mentors and encourage you to become a mentor.
Truman Active Living group will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Any Truman resident is welcome to join this group at the Truman Museum. They welcome anyone to attend who would like to see our community continue to be a great place to call home. If you have any questions, call Pat at (507) 236-4433.
Wednesday is recycling day. Recycling containers should be curbside by 7 a.m. Be sure all items are clean, and the cardboard is broken down.
Truman seeks a volunteer willing to work on the 2025 farmer’s market. The group needs a coordinator and creative ideas to help make an even more successful 2025 season. Contact any member of Truman’s Active Living Committee or Pat Jones at (507) 236-4433.
Second Harvest Heartland, a nutrition assistance program for seniors, will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15. Come to Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman to pick up your box. Eligibility is based on age, 60 years and up, household size, and income. Pre-register at 1-800-365-0270.
Lewisville Commercial Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the legion.
