City Council meets on Monday

TRUMAN–The Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Free Park Day is today, Friday, Nov. 29. There will also be no admission fees or permits required.

Truman City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 2. All meetings are open to the public.

Wednesday is recycling day place containers on your curb by 7 a.m.

The Truman Pride meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 4 at the Truman School–pride in our school, pride in our students, and pride in our future. Get involved and help Truman Schools succeed.

Truman Community Fun Night will be held from 4:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5. Girls basketball will start with B squad at 5:45 p.m. followed by varsity. There will be fundraisers and a book fair held in the library.

Remember as you are shopping there is a need for Toys for Truman (local only) and Toys for Tots (marine program). You can drop off your Toys for Truman or monetary donations until noon on Dec. 13 at Boekett’s or Elizabeth Chevrolet.

Cookie Walk is from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Truman. There will be lots of cookies, caramels, kringle, and more. You pick what you want and pay by the pound. You can also enjoy goodies along with coffee and cider for a free will donation.

Truman sorority will have the annual shopping spree for elementary students on Dec. 10. The kids love buying gifts for their families, so we need lots of men’s, women’s, and children’s presents. contact Cathy Sorenson at (507) 776-3901 or Rhona Bonk at (507) 236-5170.
