Donations needed for Toys for Tots

TRUMAN — Armstrong Bass Holiday Concert will be tonight at 6:30 pm at the Truman Community building. This event is hosted by the Martin County Library.

Lewisville area volunteer fire fighting company’s 86 annual feather party, Friday, Nov. 22, doors open at 7 p.m. Firemen with I.D. badges are admitted free.

Martin County Human Society will be holding a bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 23, at Fleet & Farm in Fairmont. Gluten-free baked goods will also be available. All proceeds will help care for homeless animals at the Martin County Humane Society.

Trinity Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving worship service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Nov. 27. Everyone is welcome to join them.

St Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a Thanksgiving service at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Remember while shopping, there is a need for Toys for Truman (local only) and Toys for Tots (marine program). People can drop off Toys for Truman or monetary donations at Boekett’s or Elisabeth Chevrolet until noon on Dec. 13.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is waiving entrance and vehicle permit fees on Friday, Nov. 29 at all Minnesota State Parks.

Everyone is invited to a come-and-go bridal shower in honor of Katelyn Stark, bride-to-be of Preston Krenz at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1 in the fellowship room at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. They are registered at Target and Amazon.

Truman Active Living is looking for a volunteer to be in charge of the 2025 Farmers Market. If you have creative ideas and can make it a successful market, you are wanted. If you have any questions, contact Pat at (507) 236-4433 or any active living member.
