The Welcome and Sherburn Police Department will host the Shop With a Cop program again this year. They are partnering with the Welcome Fire Department to ensure they have enough volunteers to help the children shop for their families. Donations from individuals and businesses are appreciated. The more donations received, the more children and their families may have a good Christmas. Generous donations in the past have supported this important program, and it has grown each year. This year, the donations should be sent to the Welcome Fire Relief Association or the donation may be processed incorrectly. Checks should be addressed that way too. For interested volunteers, pick up the donation, or for further information, call (507) 764-4221. Please send donations by Dec. 1 so the correct number of children and volunteers may be determined.

The Red Cross will host blood drives on Nov. 26 and 27, at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. Blood is drastically needed at this time so give it if you are able.
