CEYLON — Condolences to the family of Richard Wolner who passed away recently. He will be missed.
Congratulations to the non-profit group, Helping Hands of Ceylon, for the new Veterans Project at the park. They have some plans for more plants, etc. near the erected flagpoles. Tuesday coffee hours are not scheduled for the rest of the winter. The Coffee Lovers group in Ceylon meets year-round from 8:30-10 a.m. Thursdays in the back room of the Lake Belt Bar and Grill. Area residents are welcome to join them for fellowship.
An American Red Cross blood drive will be held noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at St. Paul’s Church on Dugan St. in Welcome. Blood drives will also be held that day at Grace Lutheran Church and St. John Vianney Catholic Church, both in Fairmont. Blood is urgently needed now so give if you are able.
St. Peter Lutheran Church women’s group WELCA will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the church in Ceylon. All members are encouraged to attend.
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church offers a Tuesday morning Bible class at 9:30 a.m. for area residents. Everyone is welcome to join them. The next Saturday evening service with communion at Our Savior’s if scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 5. They have services on the first and third Saturdays.
