Fundraiser for Truman Ambulance this Monday
TRUMAN — A farmers’ market will be held 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Graf Park in Truman. Vendors can be anyone selling homemade or homegrown items of any variety: vegetables, canned or baked goods, woodworking, sewing, soap making, craft projects, the list is endless. The Truman Active Living farmers market tokens for use at the Truman farmers market and Granada Gardens market in Truman for ages 4-12 and senior citizens are available from Pat at the farmers’ market.
A come-and-go bridal shower honoring Tina Geistfeld will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Lewisville Legion. Please bring a recipe to share with Tina. She is registered at Amazon, Crate & Barrel, Target and The Knot. Tina is the daughter of Pat Geistfeld and Sue Sangren (Bay).
Lewisville Fire Department Burger Bash will be held 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at the fire hall in Lewisville. Enjoy burgers, potato salad, chips and cookie for a free will donation. Take-outs are available. Proceeds will be used for purchasing equipment.
Sunday is National Grandparents Day. A strong family bond lowers the risk of depression in both grandparents and grandkids. A text, phone call or card would be welcome.
A pork chop fundraiser will be held 4:30-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at the Truman Fire Hall. This is a free will donation. Make checks payable to: Truman Ambulance Auxiliary and in memo: Truman Ambulance. All proceeds are for a new Zoll (defibrillator, cardiac and blood pressure monitor). Dine in or call (507) 236-1871 on the day of for a carry-out.
Truman Active Living group will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sep. 10, at the Truman Museum. Any interested Truman area resident is welcome to join this group. If you have any questions, call Pat at (507) 236-4433.
