Monday is Labor Day so there may not be events or businesses open. Check before you venture out. Have a safe and happy Labor Day Holiday.
Labor Day usually means the beginning of school in Minn. Please be extra careful and watch for excited children going to the school bus and coming off the bus.
Every Tuesday there will be a Bible Study class at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Ceylon for area residents at 9:30 a.m. Join them for information and inspiration.
There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive 12:30-6:30 p.m. in Fairmont beginning Tuesday, 12-6 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn. There is a critical shortage of blood. There will be blood drives in Fairmont in October. Check out the dates online at www.redcrossblood.org or call red cross at (800) red-cross (800-733-2767) or text BLOODAPP to 90999. Do rapid pass the day of donation and shorten the the time to check in. Anyone 17 years old and older in good health and weighing at least 110 pounds is eligible to give a pint which is only 1/10 of the blood a body has. It only takes about an hour. Consider giving the gift of life, Blood.
Coffee Lovers group will meet 8:30-10 a.m. Thursday in the back room of the Legends II building in Ceylon. Area men and women are encouraged to join them for good brew and good fellowship.
The Ladies group, LWML, from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Wilbert will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday for their Sept. meeting. All members and interested ladies are encouraged to attend.
