Fairmont Safe Routes To School
Fairmont Safe Routes to School (SRTS) will be on Tuesday mornings until May 20. Walkers and bikers are brought to their respective schools by crosswalk guards and adult volunteers along safe routes. The chaperoned routes will begin at the following locations: Route 1, Corner of Day Street and South Orient at 7:45 a.m., Route 2 at the Fairmont Aquatic Park at 7:30 a.m., Route 3 at St Paul Lutheran School Playground at 7:40 a.m., and Route 4 at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:30 a.m. The beginning locations of each route are also designated SRTS Safe Zones. Parents are encouraged to use the drop-off points to promote walking for fitness and avoid the congestion at Fairmont Elementary School. For additional information, contact CER at (507) 235-3141.
