Fairmont Women of Today to meet

Lacrosse clinic for children
A Lacrosse Clinic for grades kindergarten to fifth will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from May 6 to May 15, at the Fairmont Elementary School football fields. The sport combines skills learned in hockey, soccer, football, and basketball. This will be a fun introduction to the sport, focusing on fundamentals and basic skills. No pads necessary. Ugly Dolls art classes
After-school Ugly Dolls art classes for children in grades third to sixth will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, May 6, May 13, and May 20 at the Fairmont Elementary School. Young artists will design and hand-sew their own Ugly Doll using colorful felt, unique stitches, and plenty of personality. From goofy grins to wonky eyes, students will bring their lovable creatures to life and stuff them for extra huggability. No sewing experience needed. This will be the last Art Club class for the school year. Summer Art Club classes will be available. Fee: $35. Genesis Classical Academy open house
Genesis Classical Academy will have an open house from 5 to 7 p.m. on April 29, at the school, located at 620 1st Avenue South West, Winnebago. The event is for interested parents, grandparents, and community members.
Fedora and baseball cap hat burning class
A hat burning class will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, at the Southern Minnesota Educational Campus in Fairmont. Learn the art of burning intricate designs onto hats, transforming them into unique, wearable works of art. Bring your design ideas to class. The instructor will guide you through every step. Whether you’re an experienced artist or just beginning, the instructor offers stencils and tracing options to help bring your ideas to life. The instructor will have a variety of color options. Class end time may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Fairmont Service Club to meet
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, April 29, at the Best Western in Fairmont.
