Play Café to meet Tuesday
Play Café will meet at the Martin County Library at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18. This program is for children ages zero to five and their caregivers. Children can explore and play at the library. Play Café participants meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays from now to April 29. There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required for Play Café. FES Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday
The Fairmont Kindergarten Round-Up open house will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18 at the Fairmont Elementary School. Parents can ask questions, meet teachers, participate in activities with their child(ren), and learn about the one-week program, Kinder Prep.
Family Fun Night on Tuesday
The Early Childhood March Family Fun Night will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, at the Fairmont Elementary School. Food and fun activities will be available for children ages zero to preschool and their caregivers. Admission is $5 per family. Participants must enter through Door 21. Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House
The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, March 19 for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family; Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Breathing Techniques with Janice Novak
Janice Novak will teach breathing techniques in her class from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 24, in a Zoom meeting. Breath work is a single most powerful thing you can practice for improving energy levels, health and wellbeing. In this workshop, students will learn ancient breathing exercises that will: neutralize stress by reprogramming your nervous system; increase energy and vitality; increase brain function; improve immune response; decrease depression and anxiety; and actually help strengthen your back and abs from the inside out.
