Activate brain’s creativity with Janice Novak

Nickie Welsh will teach a social media content class at noon on Tuesday, March 18, in a Zoom meeting. Participants will learn tips and strategies to create social media content. Students will understand key terms and leave with action items for successful social media posts without panicking. Nickie Welsh will teach Canva for beginners at noon on Thursday, March 20, in a Zoom meeting. Students will learn to create stunning designs from scratch or use templates with step-by-step guidance for any digital image. Whether it’s online documents, business cards, email signatures, or more, students will leave this class with the confidence and skills to use Canva effectively and creatively. SJV to serve Sunday meal
St. John Vianney Church in Fairmont will serve a free meal at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 16. If unable to attend, contact (507) 235 – 2451 to have a meal delivered.
Mankato Symphony Orchestra concert this Sunday
The Fairmont Opera House invites the public to the Mankato Symphony Orchestra’s “The Emperor and Mozart” concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Before the show, “Snacks with the Symphony” will be held at 1:30 p.m. The event includes a Q&A with the pianist, vocal soloist, Conductor, and Executive Director to learn about the performers, classical music, and more. Snacks will be provided, and free-will donations will be appreciated. Tickets are available now, and seating is limited. Everyone who purchases tickets online at fairmontoperahouse.org/tickets and uses code “ONLINE” will receive $5 off each ticket.
