Technology Safety Toolbox with Nickie Welsh
Social Club Simple adult enrichment instructor Nickie Welsh will search technology safety for parents with young children from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, in a Zoom meeting. This practical training class is designed to equip busy parents with essential tools and knowledge to keep their little ones safe in an increasingly connected world. Parents will gain tips and strategies for managing technology use, protecting privacy, and fostering a safe digital environment for young children. Posture improvement with Janice Novak
Janice Novak will teach posture correction from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, in a Zoom meeting. The class will learn how to correct common posture problems and learn an “Instant Alignment Technique’ that will have them standing straighter immediately. The class will discuss easy-to-implement tips when at a computer, in a car, or working out. Participants will need a resistance band for some of the exercises. CREST offers balance courses
CREST would also like to help balance issues and lessen the fear of falling. CREST is offering a four-week course called “Balance Matters” that looks into all aspects of balance and gives tips on how to stay upright. This class will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. from March 11 to April 1 at the CREST office in Fairmont. The course also introduces individuals to a balance exercise program that can be completed after the class concludes. Registration is required to provide the needed materials. St. Martin’s for soup lunch
St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont will hold a soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, March 7. The menu includes a variety of soups, and the proceeds will benefit Heaven’s Table Foodshelf. Contact (507) 238-2686 for a takeout order. Delivery is not available.
Crafts for adults with disabilities
Join the Martin County Library in Fairmont at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7, to make crafts and have fun. This event is for adults with disabilities.
