Free community meal at UCC

Join First Congregational United Church of Christ for a free community meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at the First Congregational UCC in downtown Fairmont. The menu includes spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, breadsticks, cupcakes, and beverages. All are welcome.

Informational day at MLHS

New students and their families are invited to ‘Getting to Know You Night’ at Martin Luther High School at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Students will give tours, current parents will be on hand to answer questions, classrooms will be open, teachers will be available for questions, and a light supper will be served. Everyone is welcome. Enrollment for the 2025 to 2026 school year is open. Early bird discounts are available until March 1. Menopause management with Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach perimenopause and menopause management in her class from 6 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3 in a Zoom meeting. Perimenopause starts around the age of 35 for most women and can last 10 to 15 years. Common symptoms include fatigue, migraines, weight gain, water retention, depression, sleep disturbances, joint aches, hot flashes, anger flashes, migraines, fibroids, exaggerated PMS, and more. The class will discuss how to measure hormone levels–blood test vs. saliva test and what to do with the results; traditional HRT vs. bio-identical; acupressure points to assist in symptom relief and nutritional musts. Participants will leave with multiple tools and techniques for restoring health and well-being. Registration is required, costs $29, closes on Feb. 27, and can be completed on the CER webstore.
