Play Café to meet Tuesday
Play Café will meet at the Martin County Library at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18. This program is for children ages zero to five and their caregivers. Children can explore and play at the library. Play Café participants meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays from Jan. 7 to April 29. There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required for Play Café. Fairmont Service Club to meet Tuesday
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. Nurse Practitioner Emily Fett and School Psychologist Laura Odgren will discuss a program they developed. It is based on the book “The Anxious Generation”. Level one baton twirling classes
A baton twirling class will be held from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, and Thursday, Feb. 27 in the Boost Up Room at the Fairmont Elementary School. This program is for individuals in Grades 1 and up. Baton twirling is an aerobic sport that promotes physical fitness, flexibility, and coordination. Bring a baton and get introduced to this sport. Batons will be provided for use to those who don’t own one. For an additional fee of $25, participants can purchase a baton to take home for practice. The instructor will set up a bonus additional twirl times to practice. Registration is required, costs $24, closes Feb. 18, and can be completed on the CER webstore.
