Kiwanis to hear from Tonder

Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The meeting speaker will be Fairmont Area School’s Teacher of the Year, Wendi Tonder. Early Risers Kiwanis will hear about Wendi’s 19 years in the Fairmont Area School, her 33 years of teaching experience, and her dedication to teaching important life skills. The public is invited to attend.

Valentine Craft for Kids

Join the Martin County Library in Fairmont from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 to make a valentine craft. Drop in for this family-friendly, all-ages event. Eagles Club for Friday karaoke

Fairmont Eagles Aerie 3394 will have karaoke at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Eagles Club building. Karaoke hosts vary per week. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official Fairmont Eagles Club Facebook page.

Free testers at Recovery in Motion

Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can arrive to learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.

DFL to have weekend meeting

Martin County DFL will meet at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the basement meeting room of the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Doors will open at 10 a.m.

Sons of Norway for weekend meeting

The Sons of Norway Stavanger Lodge 1-538 will hold their next meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at the Cottonwood County Historical Society in Windom. The public is invited to attend. The mission of the Sons of Norway is to promote, preserve, and cherish a lasting appreciation for the heritage and culture of Norway and other Nordic cultures while growing soundly as a fraternal benefit society and offering maximum benefits to its members.
