Snowflake craft for disabled adults

Join the Martin County Library in Fairmont at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17 at the building to make a snowflake craft. This event is catered for adults with disabilities. ‘Facts and Fallacies of Vitamins/Herbs’ by Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach a class about effective supplements from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21 in a Zoom meeting. In this workshop, participants will learn the seven guidelines that determine if a supplement is well-balanced or a waste of money. The class will discuss what current research says about antioxidants, phytochemicals, anti-aging nutrients, colloidal minerals, chelated minerals, sustained-release formulas, collagen, glucosamine chondroitin, melatonin, ginkgo, ginseng, and echinacea. ‘The Art of Aging Well’ by Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach a class about aging gracefully from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 in a Zoom meeting. In this workshop, participants will learn simple, scientifically proven practices to decrease body age. Participants will also learn facial acupressure points to help erase years from the face naturally. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Jan. 19, and can be completed on the CER webstore.

‘Parent’s Technology Safety Toolbox’ by Nickie Welsh

Social Club Simple adult enrichment instructor Nickie Welsh will host a class for parents with young children from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 in a Zoom meeting. Navigating the digital world can be challenging for parents with young children ages zero to five. This practical training class is designed to equip busy parents with essential tools and knowledge to keep their little ones safe in an increasingly connected world. Participants will gain practical tips and strategies for managing technology use, protecting privacy, and fostering a safe digital environment for young children.
