Fairmont Service Club to meet on Tuesday
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House
The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family; Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Join the Martin County Library in Fairmont at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16 for Books and Brews Morning Edition. Library staff will highlight non-fiction books from the 100s section, including psychology, philosophy, and more. Each attendant may bring coffee of their choice. Color Confidence with Peggy White
Join instructor Peggy White with the White House Beauty Experience from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 23 in Room 112 in the SMEC building in Fairmont. Participants will leave knowing dominant color characteristics, the best hues of color including neutrals and go-to colors, the best shades of color cosmetics, the best metallics and color jewelry options, and more. Optional purchases of Digital and Deck Color Collections, Color Guide, and makeup will be available at varying prices the night of the class. The class length will depend on the number of participants. Registration is required, costs $49, closes Jan. 16, and can be completed on the CER webstore.
