Play Cafe starting on Tuesday
Play Café will meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Jan. 7 to April 29 at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This event is for children ages zero to five and their caregivers. Class of ’60 to reunite for lunch
The Fairmont High School Class of 1960, spouses, and friends, will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Pizza Ranch buffet restaurant in Fairmont.
Service Club to meet Tuesday
The Fairmont Service Club will hold its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Best Western Hotel in Fairmont. The speakers will be Project Coordinator, Darek Olson and Behavior Health Supervisor, Shelia Hohensee from Martin County Human Services. They will discuss the Upward Bound Program in Fairmont. People First to meet Tuesday
People First will hold its monthly meeting from 4 to 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the Pizza Ranch buffet restaurant in Fairmont. For additional information about this self-advocacy group, contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.
CER offers hat-burning class
Learn the art of burning intricate designs onto hats from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Jan.14 at the SMEC building in Fairmont. Bring your design ideas to class and the instructor will guide you through every step, from developing your concept to completing the final burn. Regardless of skill level, the instructor offers stencils and tracing options to help bring ideas to life. The instructor will have a variety of color options. Class end time may vary depending on the complexity of the project. Registration is required, costs $75, closes on Jan. 7, and can be done on the CER webstore.
