SJV to host ham dinner

St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont will serve a free ham dinner at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 at the building. All are invited to join. If you cannot attend, due to lack of transportation, please call (507) 235-2451 to have a meal delivered. Please contact by noon Friday, Dec. 13 to make arrangements.

Kiwanis to have early Wednesday meeting

Fairmont Early Risers Kiwanis will meet for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the hour will be Pat Oman, the Community Development Director for the City of Fairmont. Oman will share his vision and insight as the city’s Community Development Director. The public is invited to join the group.

Sons of Norway to meet Saturday

The local Sons of Norway Stavanger Lodge 1-538 will host a holiday celebration meeting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Cottonwood County Historical Society in Windom. The program will feature Christine Engler. Special emphasis will be on the topic of hygiene and the effects it has on the quality of food products. Holiday entertainment for the morning includes a Christmas carol sing-a-long and holiday treats. The public is cordially invited to come and attend this special event free of charge.
