Early Risers to meet Wednesday

The Fairmont Early Risers Kiwanis will meet for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The Kindness Club will be the featured speakers at their special Thanksgiving meeting. The Kindness Club will be represented by President Natalie Flaherty, Vice President Max Coan, Secretary Citlali Olson, and Treasurer Audrey Haugen. Their presentation is titled, “How Kids Shape the Future – Modeled from Adults”. The club will additionally share their perspective and thoughts about the future. The public is welcome to join.

Riverbend Brass Choir to have concerts

The Minnesota Riverbend Brass Choir will be presenting a series of four concerts of sacred Advent and Christmas brass ensemble music. The concerts are free and open to the public. A “Free Will” Offering will be invited. The concerts will feature seasonal sacred favorites and traditional large brass ensemble arrangements. The Minnesota Riverbend Brass Choir was formed in 2022 and includes 17 highly skilled local music educators and professionals. The first of four concerts during Advent will be performed at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, and Dec. 8 at Loyola High School Chapel in Mankato, Minn. At 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 15 at Holy Trinity Cathedral in New Ulm, Minn, and at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, Minn.
