Tea Party at Chubb House Saturday
The Chubb House in Fairmont will host its Annual Holiday Tea from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. Guests may indulge in teacups, tea sandwiches, and a delicious array of tasty treats in an 1867 historical setting, Fairmont’s oldest surviving brick house. A free-will donation with matching funds will be taken to support the maintenance and upkeep of the historic house. There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required. Library to host wine bottle adult craft
Join the Martin County Library in Fairmont for a holiday craft for adults at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25 at the building. Adult participants will craft a holiday wine bottle decoration to take home. NFL tournament for kids
A Madden ’24 (a National Football League video game) tournament for children in Grades 2 to 5 will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays–Dec. 2, 9, 16, Jan. 6, and 13–at the Fairmont Elementary School Five Lakes Cafeteria. Round Robin style will be played in the first three weeks, and then a double elimination tournament will follow. Children may have fun playing football with their friends. Elimination from the tournament does not mean elimination from the class. Fun games will be played for all eliminated players. A prize will be awarded to the winner. All games will be played on an Xbox One console. Registration is required, costs $45, is due Nov. 25, and can be completed on the CER webstore.
