UCC to serve November meal

First Congregational UCC, 319 Downtown Plaza, will serve a November Free Community Meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 20. The menu includes pork commercials, green beans, bars, milk, water, and coffee. All are welcome and requested to join.

Ad Slogan Trivia at Fairmont Brewery

Join the Fairmont Brewery as the Martin County Library hosts Ad Slogan Trivia at the Fairmont Brewing Company. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21. Work solo or in pairs to see who knows the most about popular advertising slogans. There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required. Drinks are available for purchase at the event.

Books and Brews to gather Thursday

Join the Martin County Library at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 for Books and Brews Morning Edition at the building. Library staff will highlight books based on a true story. Bring your coffee and join for a book discussion. There is no cost to attend this event, and pre-registration is not required.

UCC to have Glows dinner

First Congregational UCC in Fairmont, is having a Glows Parade Soup Supper Fundraiser on Friday, November 22nd from 5:15 to 7:15 p.m. during the Fairmont Glows Parade. Free popcorn and cider will be available outside. The supper menu includes Your Choice of Soup (Cheesy Turkey Vegetable, Chicken Noodle, or Ham & Wild Rice), Fresh Baked Rolls, Apple Dessert, Milk, Coffee & Water. $8/serving, $5/children ages 10 & under. Come to eat & watch the parade.

Immanuel Lutheran to have Glows dinner

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fairmont will host a chili and oyster stew meal from 5 to 8 p.m., on Nov. 22, in the church’s basement. Attendants may join before, during, or after the Glows parade. The menu includes chili, oyster stew, crackers, breadsticks, assorted bars, hot chocolate, and coffee. The meal is $10 and $5 for adults and children (6-12) respectively. Children below six years of age may eat for free. Takeouts are available. This meal was made possible by Immanuel’s Men’s Club and Youth Groups. Proceeds directly support Immanuel’s ministries.
