MCW to Offer Early Childhood Screening
Martin County West (MCW) will offer Early Childhood Screenings for children ages three to five, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8. This screening is a crucial step in identifying developmental milestones and addressing potential health concerns in young children. The screening process involves a comprehensive evaluation of your child’s vision, hearing, health status, and developmental skills, including areas like communication, motor abilities, and cognitive functioning. These screenings are not only important for your child’s growth and development but they are also required by Minnesota state law for any child who will attend public school. Early detection of any developmental concerns allows for timely intervention, which can significantly enhance a child’s readiness for school and overall well-being. Parents are urged to verify if their child has undergone this essential screening. The screening provides an opportunity to ensure their child is prepared for school.
