3M employees to meet Tuesday

3M employees, past and present, will meet for lunch noon, Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Green Mill restaurant, Fairmont.

Books and Brews Book club at the Brewery

Books and Brews Book club will meet 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, at Fairmont Brewing Company. We’ll be discussing “The Lager Queen of Minnesota.” Pick up a copy of the book at the Fairmont Library, read it and join us there.

CER holds online class

A Seated Abdominal Strengtheners class will be 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, November 14 via Zoom. The fee is $29. Learn as series of extremely effective exercises to quickly strengthen all four layers of abdominal, without stressing back or neck joints. Registration closes November 10.

Class of 1962 meets November 9th

Fairmont High School class of 1962 spouses and friends will meet for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 9th at the Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. All classmates are encouraged to attend.

American Legion Auxiliary to meet

The american Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 meets 3 p.m. Tuesday at 300 Downtown Plaza. All interested are encouraged to attend.

FSC to meet

The Fairmont Service club will meet at noon Tuesday, at the Best Western, Fairmont. Doug Kahler of Kahler Electric will be speaking about solar power.

Volunteer readers needed

Volunteers are need for the 5th Annual Community reading of Charles Dickens’, “A Christmas Carol”. The next practice reading is 7 p.m., Wednesday, at the Red Rock Center. The reading is NOT the play, but a chance to read the unabridged work of Dickens. Each person will read from the text for a few pages, then the next reader. No experience needed. Reading the story is fun. The event will take place at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in December. Donations will be given to the Heaven’s Table Food Shelf.
