Join library staff for Classic Movie Monday beginning 1 p.m. Monday, July 10, at the Fairmont Library, 110 N. Park St. in Fairmont. They will show “Some Like It Hot.” Popcorn and water will be served.

Martin County Library summer storytimes

Join library staff at our branch libraries for summer story, craft and activity times. Stop by for Bored Game Day beginning 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Sherburn Library, and storytime at 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays. Visit the Trimont Library and the Truman Library at 3 p.m. on Wednesdays for stories and fun.

Mixed Nuts is comedy fun for everyone

Join library staff for their next great Summer Library Program event at the Jackson County Library System, the Mixed Nuts, the Midwest’s favorite comedy duo, which includes entertainers/artists Lori and Mark Hurley. They delight children and adults alike with their adrenaline-driven comedy shows. Join them for physical comedy, age-appropriate humor and uproarious audience participation. Mixed Nuts will be performing two shows in Jackson at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, in the east cafeteria of the Government Center, Jackson, Minn. The public can enter Door #7 for easy access. They will also perform 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, July 13 in the meeting room at the Lakefield Library and at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 13, in the meeting room at the Heron Lake Library. This event is funded in part or in whole with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is not needed.
